Mina:The city of tents

Here more than 50 thousand comfortable, fire proof and air conditioned tents are established. A guide will acompany you towards the tent. Plenty of baathrooms, toilets and good food is available here. After offering the zuhr, asr, maghrib and isha prayers on 8th of dhil hijjah and spending a whole night there and on 9th dhil hijjah offer your fajr either in the grand mosque (masjid-e-khaief) or in congregation in your own tents. According to the practice of prophet all these prayers except maghrib and fajr are to be offered with qasr i.e:shortned

With the dawn of Dhil Hijjah you have to leave for hajj. Before leaving make ablution in hotel baathroom and adorn ihram. Offer two rakhats in your rooms and make intention

Allah humma labbaikal hajjah

Women should also adorn new or washed clothes after taking bath or making ablutions then making intention for hajj. Two rakhats of and intention for hajj can be performed in masjid-i-haram also. Talbiyah should be recited continously in buses which will depart for mina which is located at a distance of 4/5 miles from makkah

Preparations for hajj

On 8 DHIL HIJJAH You are supposed to leave for Hajj. So be ready beforehand; create in you the qualities of meekness,humility and modesty. Before leaving for hajj keep in mind principals and obligations which make it possible. Understand that abandoning any principal (RUKUN) will not complete the HAJJ. Abdication of a wajib will led to penalty becoming necessary

For e.g sacrifice of one animal or feeding six poor people or fasting for 3 days

Return from medina

According to the prescribed programme while returning from medina to makkah make ablution in hotel and take over the buses with your casuals. Your buses will halt after covering certain distance. This place falls with jurisdictions of miqat so without ihram you can’t move forward so get out of buses with ihram in your hands enter masjid make ablution and adorn ihram. After offering 2 rakhats make intention for umrah

Allah humma labbaika umra ta

Undertaking this umrah is one of the greatest blessing conferred upon you because this is a place from where Prophet of islam started his journey of Umrah.

Departure for medina

Meanwhile according to chalked out programme beforehand on a particular day you will leave for Madina by buses. Keep necessary things and clothes for weeklong stay together with an ihram with you, while returning to makkah it will be needed. Although journey and stay at Madina is not prescribed in the fundamentals of Hajj Still take this opportunity as a divine blessing and special favour to offer prayer at prohet’s masjid and to present yourself at the mausoleum of prophet ,forwarding your benedictions. Always keep in mind this divine command

“VERILY ALLAH AND HIS ANGELS SEND BLESSINGS ON THE PROPHET: O YE WHO BELIEVE! SEND YE BLESSINGS ON HIM AND SALUTE HIM WITH RESPECT” (33:56)

On this basis prophet declared

“Whosoever of my follower send a blessing (durood) upon me Allah Almighty showers ten blessings upon him, ten good deeds are recorded in his account, his ten sins are forgiven and his grades are scaled up (Hadees in Nasai)

Abdullah bin masood narrates that

“Prophet muhammad said:Angels of Allah wander throughout the world and convey the salutation of my followers to me”(Hadees in Nasai)

Umar bin khattab said:Dua of a person remains hanging between the heavens and earth until he send durood on prophet(Hadees in Tirmidhi)

In context with it remember the Hijrah of Prophet and his companions. Thanks Allah for favour and instead of mutual conversation invoke in your whole being Love for the Holy Prophet reciting the durood continously

اللهم صل على سیدنا محمد وعلى آل سیدنا محمد كما صليت على ابراهيم وعلی آل ابراهيم انك حميد مجيد

اللهم بارك على سيدنا محمد وعلى آل سیدنا محمد كما باركت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد

Additional Umrah

During your stay at Makkah you can perform additional umrah on behalf of your nears or dears

Such umrah can be intiated either from Masjid-i-Aisha Or Jourana wherefrom Prophet muhammad had himself performed umrah

Absistence from following action

Unnecessary striving and stumbling for kissing of black stone which may put other muslims in hardship

Touching the black stone with an intention of gaining blessings

Touching the walls or covering of ka’bah with an intention of seeking blessing

Persisting to offer salah at maqam-i-ibrahim

Drenching or washing shrouds in zam-zam water with an intention that it will salivate from the torments of grave

Abstain from moving in front of the people offering prayer inside the holy jurisdiction

Running between safa and marwah

After quenching thirst with maa_u_zam_zam crossing the courtyard of Ka’bah kiss Hajr-i-aswad or just gesticulate with your hands move towards the hill of safa

On reaching safa read

Innas safa wal marwata min sha aa i rillah

Tawaf of kaabah

Circumbulating around kaabah 7 times constitute a tawaf with the kissing touching or gesticulating in the direction of the Hajr-i-aswad initiate the circumbulation from your western side.

Iztiba means the coverlet of IHRAM. It must be adhered that upon entering the sacred premises if the obligatory prayers have started one must join them. Afterwards circumbulation must be done.

PERSUASION OF COLLECTIVE UMRAH

During the journey persuade the other companions for collective umrah. The buses will drop you at the destined hotel. Unload luggage and then make ablution in hotel bathroom , at a fixed time assemble outside the hotel , start journey amid the recitation of Talbiyah towards Masjid-i-haram. For performing umrah no haste is required. With due calm ease and patience start journey from hotels. While reaching close with lowered gaze enter precints of Ka’bah with these words

Alla humaftahli abwaba rahmatik

Dont read 2 rakhats of tahitul masjid because the tawaf is its substitute. Recite talbiyah continously

After this beseech any invocation Allah willing it will be accepted

Journey towards Makkah

In the meantime fleet of buses would be halting at the airport terminal. when your turn comes move to the bus with your luggage. while getting into the bus make sure you that your luggage too is loaded on the same bus

Prohibations in the state of ihram

#1:For men wearing sewn clothes under or over Ihram

#2:Applying scent but Toothbrush(Miswak) can be used

#3:Clipping hair

#4:Paring nails

#5:Quarrelling

#6:Hunting of any land animal and help to hunters, although any kind of dangerous animal,Repitile like snake, scorpion , kite , crow , biting dog killing is valid (Bukhari nisai)

#7:(Men) Covering the head or veiling face though using umbrella, Carrying luggage on head or travelling in bus is no sin

#8:Men wearing sandals and shoes which cover ankles

#9:Woman covering of face in a way that a veil touches it

#10:Conversing about nikah or Mariatal relationship or proposal of marriage

#11:men and woman wearing saffron coloured dress or ihram

Entering miqat and niyyah

During the journey when the plane reaches near Miqat , Its announcement is made in the aeroplane the intention for umrah should be made. With this proclamation the wrapped seamless pieces of cloth become virtually ihram. It is required for men only that while wearing ihram one must wear such type of shoes or sandals which do not one’s ankles

Four functions at hajj house

#1:With air tickets in hands,stand in queue to check in your luggage

#2:After this step, with passport in your hands reach to the requisite counter for Immigration check and other formalities

#3:After getting tge identification of passport, collect the exchange currency of riyals or dollars if needed from a specific counter. Identity card if displayed by hanging it around your neck seems to be better option

#4:Make ablution in the bathroom grab up yourself with 2 coverlets of ihram. If desired you can tie a belt over the place of belt. Offer 2 Rakhats prayer but dont make intention for umrah at this stage. If it is time for obligatory prayer then offer it in congregation. Keeping in consideration the weather a shawl can be wrapped over the coverlet of IHRAM

#1:کبیرہ گناہ میں ایک گناہ یہ بھی ہے کہ آدمی اپنے والدین پر لعنت کرے۔عرض کیا گیا:یا رسول اللہ! کوئی آدمی اپنے والدین پر کس طرح لعنت کرتا ہے۔فرمایا:ایک آدمی دوسرے آدمی کے والد کو گالی دیتا ھے تو وہ جواب میں اس کے والد کو گالی دیتا ہے اور جب کوئی کسی کی ماں کو گالی دیتا ہے تو وہ جواب میں اس کی ماں کو گالی دیتا ھے

#3:Garlanding the pilgrimage at the time of departure should be avoided as it does not fall in line with the islamic principals

Hajj of a child

From the sayings of PROPHET MUHAMMAD SAW

Hajj of a child is valid (Along with parents or guardian)

  • If they are too young to understand these prerequisites then the guardian can perfom these on thier behalf

E.g:When he has completed his own circumbulation he can take his child on his shoulder for circumambulation

But after attaining puberty if hajj became obligatory on such a child then he must perform hajj again

Hajj

ALMIGHTY ALLAH SAYS IN THE GLORIOUS QURAN

And perform properly the hajj and umrah (Al-baqarah)(196)

“O men! The hajj has been made obligatory (fard) on you. So keep this commandment”(Muslim)

“He who comes to this house (Ka’bah) and neither spoke indecently nor did he act wikedly,would return free from sin as on the very first day his mother bore him”(Bukhari|Muslim)
